Signagelive presents plug and play applications for digital signage users

Signagelive, A UK technology company that specialises in developing cloud-based digital signage applications, will be presenting a new range of vertical-specific plug and play applications at Samsung Latin Forum 2013. This invite only event is taking place at el Cubo Colsubsidio, Bogota, Columbia from 5-8 March.

The applications, which include out of the box templates for retail, fast food, education and corporate markets, are fully compatible with Samsung’s new line up of smart signage displays that have been developed for commercial use.

Signagelive has also integrated Samsung’s embedded media player technology into its core software platform (written in HTML5) in order to provide full support for different content formats including; rolling images, nested playlists, video streaming, IPTV, third-party party websites and Media RSS feeds on all Samsung smart signage displays, irrespective of screen size.

Samsung next-generation smart signage products and Signagelive management software eliminate the need for, onsite digital media players, resulting in significant cost savings from a hardware perspective. Samsung is promoting this new product range as a turnkey solution to end users and to facilitate this, all display sizes have been configured to support Signagelive applications as standard.

No technical expertise is required and digital signage technology users can quickly set up and display targeted content to different audiences and manage that content centrally or locally, using a Smartphone, laptop or tablet or remote control. High quality, interactive content (seasonal promotions, nutritional facts, or HR information, for example) can be displayed different screen sizes and be scheduled to dynamically update, depending on factors such as geographical location, time of day or updates to external data sources.

All applications are hosted on Signagelive’s high availability cloud platform which eliminates the need for locally installed hardware and software. Applications are supplied on a license-per-device basis, enabling users to quickly set up and display high quality content at the push of a button.

The company’s core management software also includes a number of innovative features such as drag and drop functionality, QR code support and management integration for widgets such as Twitter or Yahoo Finance.

Says Jason Cremins, CEO of Signagelive: “We are really honoured to be invited to present our digital signage technology at this Global Forum. It gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities and discuss opportunities moving forwards. Our portfolio of ready-to-use applications and templates will enable commercial organisations to quickly set up and run targeted campaigns that encourage consumer interaction which in turn improves brand loyalty and ultimately greater profitability.”

Samsung formally announced its relationship with Signagelive as one of its preferred software providers at a press conference in Amsterdam on the 29th January.

Signagelive is currently developing an application composer, to give users the ability to customise applications and templates to meet specific signage requirements for targeted campaigns. It will be available early June.
