Signagelive was one of the first companies to develop a commercial offering (comprising a library of plug-and-play applications for different vertical markets) for Samsung’s Smart Signage Platform. As such, Samsung’s new display suite has been configured to support Signagelive software as standard, enabling partners and resellers to promote the platform as an end-to-end solution.

Signagelive has also pooled its expertise with Dension In-Store Digital Systems, a Hungarian technology manufacturer, to develop a low-cost, energy-efficient Android-based signage solution for wide-scale commercial use. The Android solution comprises unique capabilities such as LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity, HDMI input (for picture-in-picture applications) and mobile connectivity using standard USB dongles.

The Android displays seamlessly interface with Signagelive’s cloud-based player API to replicate and deliver advanced capabilities that have only been available to date on expensive PC-based digital signage systems.

Signagelive’s core management software (used to power both the above) is written in HTML5, the new standard for cross-platform online applications. It provides full support for different content formats including rolling images, nested playlists, video streaming, IPTV, third-party party websites and media RSS feeds. It also comprises innovative features such as drag-and-drop functionality, QR code support and management integration for widgets such as Twitter or Yahoo Finance.

No technical expertise is required and targeted information, such as seasonal promotions, financial information or nutritional facts can be quickly displayed on different screen types and sizes, depending on the market sector, location or target audience. Furthermore content can be scheduled to dynamically update, depending on factors such as time of day and/or updates to external data sources. Content can be managed and updated centrally, locally or remotely via different devices including Smartphones, Tablets, or screen remotes.

Says Roy Martin, Director of Sales, EMEA, Signagelive; “Our award-winning software and our portfolio of ready-to-use applications are creating exciting opportunities in digital signage.

End users can run engaging campaigns at the push of a button and resellers can use our software to create compelling, all-inclusive digital signage packages for their customers.”
