Signagelive partners with Pioneer Group and Google to deliver smart retail solutions at #RBTE2017

RBTE Dream Team

On Monday and Tuesday of this week, the Signagelive team were at Olympia, London supporting our partners Pioneer Group on their stand at the Retail Business Technology Expo / Retail Digital Signage Expo.

The show is targeted at retailers and covers everything from; Point-of-Sale terminal through to Augmented Reality. A major focus of the show is aimed at retailers looking to enhance their stores with both passive and interactive digital signage solutions. It was in this area that Pioneer had an impressive stand that walked visitors through a retail customer ‘digital’ journey from; LG high-bright displays in the store windows to attract passers-by to enter the store, to small displays at the point-of-sale to encourage customers to; consider signing up for loyalty scheme, return to the store for an upcoming sale or event, or visit the retailer’s website for great offers when they are at home.

Signagelive Google Lift and Learn

A major draw on the stand was our close collaboration with Google and the use of Chrome OS devices combined with RFID technology to create an intuitive ‘lift and learn’ experience for shoppers. Lift and Learn is a great way to provide instant, contextual information to shoppers including comparisons when multiple products are lifted from the shelf at the same time.

In addition, to Lift and Learn, we also demonstrated our integration with Google Home allowing voice activated and control digital signage content. When tied into a retailer’s product database, the solution allows shoppers to ask Google about a product and receive immediate results in both audio and on screen, such as ‘What other colours do you have in stock?’, ‘What sizes are available?’, ‘Show me accessories to go with this dress’. The possibilities are endless and we expect several of our retail customers to start to explore voice controlled digital signage in 2017.

Smart Retail from Signagelive

Digital Signage when used in retail needs to bring ‘the web, in-store’ and be the connection between retailer’s online and physical presence. An effective way to achieve this is to bring moderated social media content into a store and our partnership with Seenspire and their Social Media Wall demonstrated the impact to visitors really well.

Thanks to all those that stopped by the stand, we had a great show and look forward to working with Pioneer Group to deliver your next retail digital signage project.

#DSE2017 over, thanks for making it a great success for Signagelive

Signagelive at DSE 2017

We had a great time at Digital Signage Expo last week meeting both new and prospective partners and customers. Our Marketplace with free content and widgets was a big hit, as was our Web Trigger demonstrations showing how any web-connected app or device can change the content displayed on a Signagelive managed SoC Display or player.

At the show we announced support for the Philips Android SoC Displays and BrightSign’s Series 3 digital signage players; both of which were met with a ‘thumbs up’ from everyone we met and spoke to. Thanks to the BrightSign team for the steady stream of resellers and customers that you sent our way.

Philips DSE 2
Dave Petricig our Business Development Manager was asked by the Rave Publications team to say a few words on our presence at the show, here is the resulting video:

Thanks to everyone who we met last week, we really appreciated the positive feedback and look forward to following up with you all and assisting you with your digital signage requirements.

Signagelive demonstrates the capabilities of its SoC and HTML5 software platform at second LG Commercial Display Roadshow on 20th July

LG Display Roadshow

Signagelive’s SoC and HTML5 software facilitates a range of interactive digital signage applications for existing LG webOS users – find out how at the Westin St Francis, San Francisco

Signagelive, global suppliers of a cloud-based digital signage technology platform, is once again presenting its SoC and HTML5 software through a selection of real-world user scenarios at the second LG commercial Display Roadshow on the 20th July. The event is taking place at the prestigious Westin St Francis, 335 Powell Street, San Francisco from 09.00 – 13.30 or 12.00 – 16.30 and Signagelive is the only digital signage technology company invited to participate at the 2016 Roadshows.

Signagelive’s digital signage technology platform with integrated support for “Lift and Learn” and dynamic NFC technologies, will be powering the latest range of LG webOS displays directly over LAN, eliminating the need for external media players. Using Signagelive’s SoC software and intuitive content management platform (CMS), commercial organisations can take static signage applications into the interactive world by allowing end-customers to interact with displayed content using smartphones or touchscreen displays.

Lift and Learn technologies, combined with LG Smart displays (LG webOS) and powered by Signagelive, add exciting new dimensions to digital signage campaigns. Retailers, for example can ensure their best selling products are strategically placed on pressure sensors in front of instore displays playing eye catching content, generating a “pull factor” for shoppers. If these products are picked up, a trigger is initiated, instructing the display (powered by Signagelive) to show content specific to that product, creating a powerful instore retail experience.

Dynamic NFC technology on the other hand, used in conjunction with Signagelive’s, digital signage technology platform, enables large venue owners – stadiums for example – to generate and roll out interactive content relevant to an event in real time, enhancing the overall experience for fans.

Interactive functionality takes digital signage to a brand new level,” explains Aferdita Qesku, Director of Sales, Global at Signagelive. “Using LG webOS displays powered by our SoC and HTML5 software, well known brands can turn their static digital signage networks in to a powerful marketing tools quickly, easily and cost effectively and benefit from the results immediately.”

Signagelive’s cloud-based digital signage network platform supports multiple content formats including static images, 4k video, web pages, IPTV, multi-zoning for different media types, touch screen applications, image layering and RSS feeds. The platform also comprises optional proof of content and delivery functionality for monitoring the results of interactive campaigns.

LG’s commercial display roadshow 2016, which debuted in Washington DC on the 4th May, is coming to key cities across the US, including New York, Miami, Denver and Los Angeles
