Already an industry heavyweight, with a wealth of digital signage and related technology and integrator knowledge, this academically gifted sales and business development pro has grown the footprint of many of the biggest global players, from Xfinity and NCR to HP.
Now, as Signagelive charges up for expansion in the Americas, Eureka, in her new role as Channel Sales Manager, is set to help the recently expanded team to re-energise the market, and spark new business in the region.
Q&A
Q.Can you tell us about your professional background?
After finishing high school a year early in Dallas, Texas, I went to Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA and majored in business law. I then moved into real estate, which has a big sales component to it. With this sales and business experience, I was then able to jump into the pro AV industry, and worked in a number of high-profile roles for companies, such as Xfinity, Fiserv, and NCR. I was also with HP, where I fostered channel relationships and became a trusted reseller industry advisor, taking the lead on deals for digital signage, as well as a whole fleet of other related products and services.
Q.What made you decide to join the Signagelive team?
I believe that digital signage is the future. From retail and education to transport, digital signage is now everywhere. There aren’t going to be many big sales deals that don’t feature digital technologies. Digital signage is where it’s at!
At a company like Signagelive, you have the chance to be forward-thinking and strategic in the channel, which presents a great opportunity for me to contribute more.
I can bring a wealth of sector knowledge to this role, having navigated large OEMs and major distribution groups in the industry. I’m already familiar with, for instance, Ingram Micro, D&G, and TD Synnex – all important partners of Signagelive.
I also happen to love my team and global team. We’re very collaborative and I’m definitely appreciative of that. I love the collaboration.
Q.What does your role entail, and what do you hope to achieve?
In this role, I plan to be a liaison between Signagelive and my resellers and assist them with their end user clients and product requests.
It’s my job to make sure that resellers and end users alike both have a positive experience using Signagelive. My major focus will be to ensure that partners fully understand what Signagelive brings to the table and that they have all the information they need to make the right decisions for their customers. I will be the nucleus – the hub of information for customers, giving them everything they need for success.
Right now, we’re still new in the Americas and are in the process of growing our footprint here. However, I feel like once we’re in front of customers, and can show them exactly what Signagelive brings to the marketplace, I think they’ll be blown away with what we have to offer.
Q.Can you tell us something about yourself?
I’m an avid reader, so I love to read and just kind of bring in new information and new knowledge and learn new words and keep broadening my vocabulary. I’ve just read Becoming by Michelle Obama, which was very informative.
I love to travel and I’m also a foodie, so I love to try different cuisines, when I’m travelling and experience different cultures. My favourite place is probably, overall, Dubai. There’s no major culture shock with the food and no language barrier. The weather is great and the currency exchange rate is fantastic! I definitely want to go to Singapore next, and we have offices in the region, so there’s even more reason to go!
I love good festivals, and I love, love, love live music! I’m kind of a live wire and I have a happy personality and am always networking, when I’m out. That’s just part of who I am.
Q.Will you be travelling to any industry events?
Yes, in fact, I’ve already been to one – a Google Chrome event in New York. It was really insightful, pointing to the potential of emerging markets, such as retail, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing and the public sector.
My next big event will be the Digital Signage Experience (DSE) show in December in Las Vegas, and then Infocomm 2024. I’m looking forward to meeting new resellers and distribution teams and helping to pack our pipelines and help them grow.
