Signagelive invests in additional resource for Asia Pacific region

New appointment demonstrates Signagelive’s support and commitment to Samsung’s Smart Signage Platform

Signagelive, a global technology company that specialises in developing cloud-based digital signage applications, is further expanding its Asia Pacific presence with the appointment of Mr Danny Hoe in the role of Strategic Development for the region.  The company is headquartered near Cambridge, UK and currently has subsidiary offices in Chicago and Singapore.

Danny Hoe’s appointment further demonstrates Signagelive’s commitment and support for Samsung’s new Smart Signage Platform. The company was formally selected by Samsung as a key development partner for its new product line up in January 2013.

Signagelive has integrated Samsung’s System on Chip (SoC) technology into its core management software (written in HTML5) in order to provide full screen and content support for all Smart Signage Displays, irrespective of screen size.

Before joining the company, Danny Hoe was employed as Global Accounts Director by ModusLink Global Solutions, Inc. He managed a number of established brands and worked closely with them to review existing engagements and explore new opportunities to streamline their business processes and accelerate growth.

He has also worked as a Senior Business Development Manager for AEB, a German software company which specialises in global trade and logistics solutions.  He was based in Singapore and was instrumental in setting up strategic sales channels and partnership networks in the Asia Pacific region. Danny has a BSc in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Arlington and an MB in Information Technology from Curtin University of Technology.

Danny will be responsible further expanding Signagelive’s presence in Asia Pacific and for establishing strategic channel partnerships to promote Signagelive and the support for the Samsung Smart Signage Platform and other technologies to new markets.

Samsung’s Smart Signage Platform is being promoted as a turnkey solution to end users and, to help facilitate this, Signagelive has developed a portfolio of plug and play applications for different markets including retail, fast food, education and corporate enterprise.

Applications are hosted on Signagelive’s cloud platform and are supplied on a license-per-device basis, enabling digital signage technology users to display high quality content to targeted audiences at the push of a button.

Signagelive’s core management software provides full support for different content formats including rolling images, nested playlists, video streaming, IPTV, third-party websites and Media RSS feeds. It also includes a number of innovative features such as drag and drop functionality, QR code support and management integration for widgets such as Twitter or Yahoo Finance.

Says Jason Cremins, CEO of Signagelive: “We are delighted to welcome Danny Hoe to our growing sales force. The Asia Pacific region is an important market for us and is one of the most advanced from a technology perspective. His experienced knowledge of the region will help us further strengthen our relationship with Samsung and enable us to achieve our business strategy for rapid growth in Asia Pacific.”
