Signagelive named a finalist at the @DailyDooh Gala awards 2014

Signagelive, global suppliers of cloud-based digital signage technology, has been named a finalist at the DailyDooh Gala awards 2014 in the in the Best QSR / Bar or Restaurant Deployment category. The awards are taking place at Banqueting House, London on the 4th December.

The DailyDOOH Gala Awards recognises excellence and promotes best practice in the digital signage industry. Now in its third year, the event has firmly established itself as the sector’s only credible awards ceremony and has become the most important fixture in the industry’s social calendar.

Signagelive’s nomination is for the successful implementation of its smart digital menu board technology, designed to run on Samsung Smart Signage Platform (SSP), at Forum cinemas UAB, the largest cinema chain in Lithuania.

Menu board content and other digital media displayed by the Cinema chain is stored and managed on Signagelive’s cloud platform and delivered to Samsung’s Smart Signage Displays over LAN, without needing any external media player technology. This has resulted in significant cost reductions per installation as well as ongoing operational and energy savings.

Signagelive has recently incorporated multi layering functionality into its innovative digital menu board software. Pricing information, nutritional facts and transparent graphics can now be overlaid onto background video content at the push of a button and information can be changed or amended on demand centrally locally, remotely via multiple smart devices.

Signagelive’s digital menu board software also interfaces EPOS technology, delivering automated menu board updates, resulting in streamlined operational processes.

Says Jason Cremins, CEO of Signagelive;

“We are really pleased to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award. Competition is tough and we were up against some highly regarded organisations. We have worked in close partnership with Samsung since the launch of their SSP and the successful deployment at Forum Cinemas is recognition for our innovative SoC (system on chip) software by the digital signage and AV industries.”

Forum Cinemas’ digital menu board system has been supplied and installed by Hansab, a leading provider of innovative technology solutions, and Signagelive’s strategic channel partner in the Baltic region.
