What have we done?
We take data privacy and security very seriously here at Signagelive, below are a few examples of initiatives we have committed to in order to satisfy GDPR requirements that apply to both our customers and us;
- Established the methods and processes to honor the Subject Access Requests (“SAR”)
- Reviewed and updated our Privacy Policy to reflect our compliance with GDPR
- Continuing to invest in our security infrastructure—see our Security Policy for full details
- Provided a detailed list of of our Customer Subprocessors and Customer Subprocessor Details
- Delivered an ongoing data protection training to all our employees
- Continually assessing the latest advice and guidance around GDPR to ensure that Signagelive is providing highest standards of privacy and security

What is the GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation is a new EU privacy legislation that will replace the 95/46/EC Directive on Data Protection of 24 October 1995, GDPR will be directly applicable in all European Union Member States starting from 25 May 2018.
Who does GDPR apply to?
The GDPR applies to all organisations established in the EU and to organisations, whether or not established in the EU, that process the personal data of EU data subjects in connection with either the offering of goods or services to data subjects in the EU or the monitoring of behavior that takes place within the EU. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Where do we store customer data?
Our goal is to provide our customers with secure, fast, and reliable services. We currently store our data in data centres provided by Rackspace located in London (https://www.rackspace.com/en-gb/security) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) located in the Ireland (https://aws.amazon.com/security).
Is Signagelive a data controller or data processor?
In short, we are both. As a Data Controller, Signagelive is responsible for safeguarding the data of our customers as they interact directly with our service. As a Data Processor, Signagelive is responsible for safeguarding the data of our resellers’ and customers’ users as it flows through our system.
Will Brexit impact GDPR compliance for UK businesses?
No. The GDPR comes into effect before the UK leaves the European Union, which the UK government has announced will take place on March 29th 2019. If you’re based in the UK or process personal data from the UK, this means that you will need to become GDPR compliant before May 25, 2018.
