We are very pleased to tell you that we are ready to release an upgrade to our LG webOS Display support to incorporate a wider range of Signagelive features that include synchronisation of content across multiple screens and remote control interrupts. We are also announcing support for the 86” and 88” stretch LG webOS displays.
We will be releasing these updates on Wednesday 29th August and all Signagelive managed LG webOS Displays will automatically receive the updates within the following 24 hours, or if you manually restart the LG webOS Display it will receive the update straight away.
Support for Synchronisation
In terms of setup, this feature is available within your Signagelive network and is enabled through the Sync Group function. Creating Sync Groups is exactly the same process for all Player types within Signagelive, so if you have created one Sync Group for one Player type, you’ll have no problems creating another Sync Group for LG webOS Displays.
The number of synchronised LG webOS DIsplays that can be setup is unlimited, so spectacular effects can be created for a whole range of different applications including media sales and retail.
It might be useful for you to take a few moments to read through the Creating Sync Groups and if you have any questions then please just ask our Support Team.
Remote Control Interrupts
With our latest Signagelive release you can now use the remote control supplied with LG webOS Displays to change the content being shown.
This new feature allows any Signagelive supported piece of media, playlist or multi-zone layout to be selected and displayed on screen using the 0-9 buttons on the supplied LG webOS DIsplay Remote Control.
This enables interactivity with the LG webOS Displays without the need for a touchscreen or any other device, just the supplied remote control. This powerful enhancement turns passive displays into multipurpose interactive media devices, unlocking lots of great use cases, such as:
- Retailers could use the screen for staff training out of hours, allowing the staff to review the latest Health and Safety or Product training with full accountability of when the media was played and where.
- A bar could switch from full-screen Digital Signage content to a multi-zone layout displaying live TV from a Satellite or Cable box connected to the HDMI input on the display alongside local advertising or drinks promotions when the big game starts.
- Meetings room can switch easily between; corporate messaging, room booking information, business dashboards, social media, IPTV streams and devices connected to the HDMI input for presentations.
The possibilities are endless and best of all, It’s simple to setup and use, all you need to do is publish content to interrupts 0-9 in Signagelive, set a duration for the interrupt and you are done.
We are really excited to release this much requested feature by our resellers and end users.

Support for 86” and 88” LG webOS Stretch Displays
All scheduling and management features available on the rest of the LG webOS Display range are supported with this update, however please notes that video content can only run full screen i.e. across the entire canvas on 86” and 88” LG webOS Stretch Displays.
All content runs offline for uninterrupted playback should internet connectivity be lost.
LG webOS Stretch Displays draw attention by being unique and different to 16:9 standard displays, whether mounted in landscape or portrait. Due to their size and slim profile LG Stretch DIsplays are perfect for installation where there is restricted space e.g. amongst products on or in shelves within retail, or above counter areas in QSRs. Another advantage is that there are less cables than standard size screens, and it can be split into several sections with different content shown on each.
Wasabi have recently installed LG webOS Stretch Displays in some of their stores to create highly impactful digital menu boards, click here to find out more.
