The key to automating your digital signage
data in real-time
Managing a digital signage network presents businesses with the challenge of effectively measuring content performance while ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Without real-time insights into content playback and network health, optimizing messaging, troubleshooting issues, and proving ROI can become difficult and time-consuming tasks.
The Signagelive and Zapier integration solves this issue by allowing you to leverage and connect crucial Signagelive data unique to your business with over 6,000 apps, providing you with a powerful, no-code solution for automating digital signage workflows.
Frequently Asked Questions
What data can I use in my Zaps?
We’ve got two data sets that you can pull directly from Signagelive and into your Zaps:
- Webhooks—This includes data from various Signagelive-based Events unique to YOUR Signagelive Network, such as network activity, player health, content updates, and licence management events. For example, you could set up a Zap to send a Slack notification when a player stops connecting to Signagelive.
- Proof of Play data—This collection of data is all about your content and reports on the playback of said content, for example, your content’s start and end times, reasons for playback, which assets played when and on what players, and so on. This data can be used to generate real-time reports, analyse content performance, and create data-driven workflows.
What could I do with this data?
The world is your oyster when it comes to this integration, as you can connect this data with over 6000 different apps unique to your business. But here’s some inspiration kickstarters for you:
- For those selling ad space on your Signagelive Players, you could use Signagelive Proof of Play data to automate your invoicing process in XERO based on the play count of specific assets.
- When a player stops connecting, you could create a ticket in Jira or Zendesk or send a message in Slack or Microsoft Teams.
- Import your Sgnagelive data and create dashboard visualizations in the likes of Airtable and Tableau.
- Send automated renewal request emails based on specific time frames from WHEN your Player was activated.
How do I start using this integration?
You can start automating right away by using the embedded Zapier Workflow Element on this very page! You can also head to zapier.com, search for the Signagelive app and begin building your Zaps. Be sure you check the next section for the required modules for your Network that will be required to begin.
What modules do I need on my Signagelive Network?
- To use the Proof of Play RTE Trigger in your Zaps, you’ll need the HTTP RTEs module enabled on your Signagelive Network. For more information on this, please contact sales@signagelive.com
To use the Webhook Notifications Trigger in your Zaps, you’ll need Webhooks and (optional) the Proactive Monitoring module enabled on your Signagelive Network. For more information on this, please contact sales@signagelive.com
What kind of Zapier account will I need to use this integration?
Whilst a Zapier account on the Free Tier allows you to create Zaps with a maximum of two steps, you may wish to use more steps (especially if you’re making use of Webhooks from Signagelive)
Can I use this integration to trigger content on my Signagelive Players?
At present, this particular Zapier integration is limited to retrieving data from Signagelive rather than sending information in. That being said, you can use Webhooks by Zapier to send messages to our Web Triggers API if you have Web Triggers enabled on your Signagelive Network. This process is separate from this particular integration, though. For more information on this, see this article.
How can I get the most out of this Signagelive and Zapier integration?
- It is best practice to sum all of your data into a single repository (such as Google Sheets or Airtable) which will give you clearer visibility of what data is available. From here you can split your Zaps using Paths by Zapier and then send your Proof of Play or Webhook data into your chosen applications.
