Signagelive, a world-class digital signage software provider, and Trinax, a leader in interactive technology, have partnered to digitally transform all eight clubs of the Singapore Armed Forces Reservists Association (SAFRA). Through the roll out of  their combined digital signage solution, they have enabled SAFRA to operationally support and drive thriving community hubs for Singapore’s national servicemen. With over sixty digital signage screens now in place, SAFRA has been able to successfully enhance the SAFRA member experience, foster a greater sense of community, and streamline club operations.

The Challenge

Offering social, sports, recreational and educational facilities, SAFRA’s network of clubs provide an integral support system for servicemen and their families. However, prior to its digital signage installation, SAFRA struggled to build on its engagement and growth, lacking an effective means to communicate with on-site visitors. As well as being unable to adequately inform visitors about what was available to them on-site, SAFRA missed valuable opportunities to promote new memberships to prospective members.

The Solution

It was this gap in communications that prompted SAFRA in 2016 to start digitising its clubs with the help of Trinax and Signagelive. With the rollout of this joint solution, SAFRA has been able to establish an integrated approach to communications that connects its app and website content to the on-site club experience. 

Signagelive

Using Signagelive-powered digital signage, SAFRA can now share membership deals and promotions from the app and website, so visitors have the opportunity to redeem and activate them, as they explore the clubs. With Signagelive, SAFRA is also able to create live e-board updates about facilities and events to inform the visitor experience, as well as ensure guests make the best use of their time. 

Additionally, through Signagelive’s highly scalable cloud-based platform, SAFRA can centralise the content management process. This has made it quick and easy for staff to remotely update and distribute messaging across all club locations. SAFRA staff members can:

  • Make real-time updates and edits
  • Schedule content for specific screens or locations
  • Seamlessly deliver content to screens, categorised by location or event

Trinax

Through the roll-out of market-leading interactive technology, Trinax has further improved the club experience. The installation of intuitive wayfinding kiosks has made it easier for new members to navigate the clubs. Additionally, with the creation of digital signage games, Trinax has helped SAFRA to entertain families and build a shared sense of community. At the Punggol club, for example, Trinax’s interactive digital signage puzzles engage visitors and promote a deeper connection to SAFRA’s various locations.

The Results

With the roll-out of Trinax and Signagelive’s combined digital signage solution, SAFRA has successfully advanced its mission to boost the morale and camaraderie of Singapore’s armed forces. The display of real-time event updates, wayfinding information and infotainment has enhanced the member experience, enabling SAFRA to create a dynamic space, in which members and their families feel connected and valued. The joint system has also streamlined operations, reducing the number of on-site queries, so staff have more time to personalise their interactions with visitors.
