Signagelive provide Digital Signage platform to enhance the customer experience at Birmingham Museum Trust
Birmingham Museums Trust operates from 9 venues across the city and provides a fascinating glimpse into Birmingham’s rich and vibrant past and showcases world class museum collections.
Signagelive was selected as the digital signage platform in the redevelopment projects that took place during lockdown at Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum. This included a new shop, relocation of the main entrance and improvements to the Planetarium queue line. Three Signagelive enabled screens were installed at the new entrance, two in the new shop and one in the Planetarium queue line.
Key Project Requirements
Birmingham Museums Trust were keen to get an easy to use content management system so multiple users from different departments can manage content if and when required. Signagelive was selected for the versatile range of Marketplace Apps and CMS features.
Birmingham Museum Trust are working with Solutions AV and are using Signagelive supported Samsung Tizen panels for their digital signage.
Their content requirements include being able to show and easily update opening times, ticket pricing, sales information, commercial events and catering offers.
Signagelive provided bespoke widgets and explored how local users and content can easily be updated.

Evidence of Success
Further screens may be added as further expansion and redevelopment plans take shape and there may also be the opportunity to use the system at other sites.
Working with USL/Solutions AV is always a pleasure and when they suggested the Signagelive product, coupled with the Samsung Tizen hardware it suited our needs perfectly. We now have eight screens managed remotely by various departments which are working really well, and also takes any pressure off my team with regards to managing content.
