A great success : Advantech World Partner Conference 2011, Taipei

Last week we had the great privilege of being invited to participate in the Advantech World Partner Conference in Taipei, the event was held over three days and drew over 1,000 people from all over the world.

The Advantech booth was configured as a huge pavilion, separated into the various business areas that Advantech focus on across the world. A key feature of the digital signage area within the booth was the Phillips Intel Open Pluggable Standard Display running Signagelive on the Advantech ARK-DS220 Intel OPS slot-in player.

There is no doubt that the support for the Intel OPS initiave is gathering pace, with Philips, NEC and now Mitsibushi all launching Displays in a range of sizes that will accept the Advantech ARK-DS220 slot-in player.

Intel OPS offers real choice for systems integrator and customers, with a single player format capable of being used across many difference displays. No longer does an integrator have to support multiple different PC technologies in order to service the different player formats that were available, prior to the Intel OPS standard being launched.

In addition, the IAdea XDS-104 signboard was on show at the Advantech booth running the Signagelive Virtual Player with full support for all SMIL based players. The IAdea XDS-104 is a great product for applications where a cost effective, small form factor, all-in-on, networked player is required. Just add a WiFi connection to the Internet and within seconds, Signagelive will register the device so that it can be managed from anywhere in the world via a standard web browser.
