It is with great pleasure to announce that Signagelive picked up the second award of the year at last nights Retail Systems Awards 2009 presented at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.
The award acknowledges the “Best use of in-store marketing technology in retail” with the interactive RFID digital signage project for Estee Lauder being implemented by Signagelive partner Lime IT into several House of Fraser sites in the UK and Macy’s over in Toronto, Canada.
This project demonstrates very well the global capabilities of Signagelive and a practical use of the interrupts functionality that is available to all Signagelive users to enable interactive digital signage. This particular project is based on RFID tagged product testers placed on a shelf with small screens above showing attract content. When a product is picked up the system knows which product has been picked up and immediately plays back product related video content to the customer.
Everytime a product is picked up, the information is recored to enable Estee Lauder to compare interactions againsts sales from the EPoS systems which is sent back to the Signagelive servers over the Vodafone data network.
