Incorporating Live TV into Digital Signage

Incorporating live television into a Signagelive layout is very simple indeed especially when using any of Samsung’s Xn Series of products that include the DXn, CXn, DRn, MXn and TXn.

When you build a playlist, you can add the pre-loaded PiP (Picture-in-Picture) asset which instructs the Signagelive client to ayback what ever the input source is that is conncted to the Samsung device. This could be a Freeview/Sky HD feed connected via the HDMI port for instance. The size of the PiP window is controlled through the Signagelive layout controller and can be completely user defined and positioned anywhere on screen. See Samsung for more information.

The input source doesn’t need to be live television – it could be anything including a video camera, DVD device, CCTV, another PC etc…
