Signagelive announces full screen and content support for next-generation Smart Signage Displays from Samsung at #DSE2013

Signagelive integrated software facilitates content scheduling, nested playlists, local and remote user management on new range of Samsung SOC (system on chip) displays

Global digital signage specialist, Signagelive, has integrated support for Samsung’s System on Chip (SoC) technology into its core management software, (written in HTML5), and is offering full screen and content support for Samsung’s new line up of Smart Signage Displays.

Signagelive will be demonstrating its intuitive management software and showcasing a range of newly-developed plug-and -play applications for the fast food, retail, education and private enterprise markets at Digital Signage Expo, 27-28 February at the Las Vegas Convention Centre. Signagelive can be found on Samsung Booth #902 and will be presenting a joint seminar on the Smart Signage Platform on Wednesday, February 27th at 11am.

Signagelive will also be demonstrating its ability to support different content formats including; rolling images, nested playlists, video streaming, IPTV, third-party websites and media RSS feeds on all Samsung smart signage displays, irrespective of screen size.

Signagelive’s new applications offer “out-of-the box” templates and comprise easy to use management tools and dynamic reporting capabilities for real-time campaign analysis purposes. The company’s core management software also includes a number of innovative features such as drag and drop functionality, QR code support and management integration for widgets such as Twitter or Yahoo Finance.

These applications, which are supplied on a license-per-device basis, enable digital signage technology users set up and display high quality, interactive content at the push of a button.  Content can be managed centrally or remotely via a PC, laptop, Smartphone or screen controller and can be scheduled to dynamically update, depending on factors such as location, time of day or updates to external data sources.

Samsung’s new smart signage products and Signagelive’s cloud-based management software eliminate the need for an onsite digital media player, resulting in significant cost savings. The displays are significantly lighter than their existing counterparts, making them easier and more economical to install. The new displays are also expected to reduce power consumption considerably, enabling organisations to lower their carbon footprint and adopt greener working practices.

Says Jason Cremins, CEO of Signagelive: “We are delighted to be working closely with Samsung on their smart signage solution. Our portfolio of end-user applications and templates and our ability to support different content formats on multiple screen sizes will allow Samsung channel partners to promote the company’s new range of smart signage products as a turnkey solution to end-users.”

Samsung formally announced its collaboration with Signagelive at a press conference in Amsterdam on the 29th January.
