Signagelive partners with Pioneer Group and Google to deliver smart retail solutions at #RBTE2017
On Monday and Tuesday of this week, the Signagelive team were at Olympia, London supporting our partners Pioneer Group on their stand at the Retail Business Technology Expo / Retail Digital Signage Expo.
The show is targeted at retailers and covers everything from; Point-of-Sale terminal through to Augmented Reality. A major focus of the show is aimed at retailers looking to enhance their stores with both passive and interactive digital signage solutions. It was in this area that Pioneer had an impressive stand that walked visitors through a retail customer ‘digital’ journey from; LG high-bright displays in the store windows to attract passers-by to enter the store, to small displays at the point-of-sale to encourage customers to; consider signing up for loyalty scheme, return to the store for an upcoming sale or event, or visit the retailer’s website for great offers when they are at home.
A major draw on the stand was our close collaboration with Google and the use of Chrome OS devices combined with RFID technology to create an intuitive ‘lift and learn’ experience for shoppers. Lift and Learn is a great way to provide instant, contextual information to shoppers including comparisons when multiple products are lifted from the shelf at the same time.
In addition, to Lift and Learn, we also demonstrated our integration with Google Home allowing voice activated and control digital signage content. When tied into a retailer’s product database, the solution allows shoppers to ask Google about a product and receive immediate results in both audio and on screen, such as ‘What other colours do you have in stock?’, ‘What sizes are available?’, ‘Show me accessories to go with this dress’. The possibilities are endless and we expect several of our retail customers to start to explore voice controlled digital signage in 2017.
Digital Signage when used in retail needs to bring ‘the web, in-store’ and be the connection between retailer’s online and physical presence. An effective way to achieve this is to bring moderated social media content into a store and our partnership with Seenspire and their Social Media Wall demonstrated the impact to visitors really well.
Thanks to all those that stopped by the stand, we had a great show and look forward to working with Pioneer Group to deliver your next retail digital signage project.
