Signagelive adds support for LG webOS 2.0 Displays delivering enhanced PC-less digital signage

On Wednesday 29th July we will be releasing an update to our LG webOS application so that it supports LG webOS 2.0 displays.

This allows us to continue to work with the latest screens manufactured by LG and ensures that resellers and customers can purchase the latest LG webOS displays  with the confidence that they will perform to the same level as currently supported webOS displays.

As a Signagelive customer using an LG display that supports webOS 2.0 you will not need to do anything to receive this update, and for people with older screens this update will continue to support existing LG webOS  displays

As well as adding support for webOS 2.0, we have also added some additional functionality and a small bug fix.

  • Added support for Proof of Play
  • Added support for Scheduled Reboots
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the background of a layout to not be visible when turning the screen back on via a Screen Control schedule.

All LG webOS displays connecting to Signagelive will automatically receive the update within 24 hours of the release on Wednesday 29th July without any need for manual intervention.
